A presentation on civilian to military to civilian transition by Dr John Whelan (Canadian veteran and author)

While obviously recorded a mobile phone, this presentation is worth a watch if you are at all keen on exploring issues around the intense nature of military ‘indoctrination’, and the no less difficult (yet much less considered) potential culture shock of returning to civilian life.

I recommend the first 15 minutes.  The last half is more difficult due to the recording issue.

It reflects and expands on many of the points referred to in my first two posts here and here.  I am in the process of updating these in light of further research, and will also add more soon.
